Hello friends, and welcome to the Pinkfresh Studio May Essentials Release Blog Hop!  You should be coming from Ivana’s blog, and after me is Kelly’s blog.  If you get lost along the way, you can always go back to the Pinkfresh Studio Blog.  More details on the hop and giveaways will be outlined below.

I was so excited about all these gooddies, I created 4 cards!

Each card is a little different, and I love them all!  LOL!

For the first card, I used the Braided Tag die, and the Blooming Bouquet stamp set.

First I stamped the floral image, then colored it in with Copic markers.  I used the coordinating die to cut it out.

On a white piece of cardstock, I used Distress Oxide in Spun Sugar to lightly add some pink color.  I used the Braided Tag die; I used the outer tag die, and one of the detailed pieces.  I stamped the “Happy sentiment from the Blooming Boquest stamp set towards the top right of the card.  Next, I attached the floral piece with foam squares.  I added the “mother’s day” sentiment with more foam tape, which I stamped with VersaMark ink and heat set with white embossing powder on black cardstock.  I tied a piece of twine, and added the pink jewels to finish off my card.

For my next card, I used the Pretty Frames 2, and a sentiment from the Folk Hummingbird stamp set.

The plate is all one plate, but it cuts frames that you can use all together or separately.  I ran the die cut frames through my die cutting machine around 5 times with white textured cardstock.  To really showcase all the frames, I separated the frames and glued the coordinating layers to create thickness.  For example, some of the frames are only 2 frames thick, others are 3 frames thick, and one of the frames is 5 layers thick.  I then pieced them all back together, and glued them on a white card base.  I think this would make an excellent wedding card!

For my next card, I used two of the Fancy Label Frames to create white frames.  I also used the Folk Hummingbird stamp set.

I taped 2 of the dies together, and die cut the frames around 7 times.  I thought it would look like pretty wallpaper or fancy molding on a wall.  On a separate white cardstock, I used Distress Oxide ink in Tumbled Glass to create a light ink blend.  Next I glued on all the frames, and then trimmed the panel to slightly smaller than A2 sized.

I stamped the humming bird and floral onto white cardstock, and colored them with Copic markers.  I used the coordinating dies to cut them out.  Then I attached them on with foam squares, trimming some of the floral off.  I added the sentiment with foam tape, which I stamped and heat set with white embossing powder.  To finish my card, I glued on some blue jewels.

For my last card, I used some of the hexagons from the Basic Label Frames and the Folk Hummingbird stamp set.

I lined up a few of the hexagons, and die cut it from white cardstock.  The I positioned a few more hexagons, and die cut them to create a total of 5 hexagon windows.  On another piece of white cardstock, I ink blended Distress Oxide inks in Squeezed Lemonade and Abandoned Coral.    I used foam tape, and adhered the hexagon panel to the ink blended panel.

I adhered the stamped, colored, and die cut floral piece to the hexagon panel with more foam tape.  I carefully stamped the sentiment, then finished off my card with pink jewels.

I really love how these cards turned out…the May Essentials release is awesome!  I hope I’ve inspired you to get crafty!

  9. The way you used all these dies is so interesting. I think my favorite is the monochrome white with all the different frame layers, but I also love flower bouquet in the tag. The leaf add-on makes it look like a wicker hanging basket, which is not a look I would have expected from that set. Thanks for sharing!
