Today is Ruby’s 100th day, and oh what a whirlwind it has been! Time sure does fly!
It is a Korean custom/tradition to celebrate a baby’s first 100 days, or “back-il.” A long time ago, survival rates for babies were very low (due to childhood diseases, no easy access to healthcare, etc), so babies were kept at home for the first 100 days. My parents told me that “back then,” baby’s births weren’t even recorded until they reached 100 days old. Making it to 100 days signified that the baby would survive, so families celebrated with food, and baby was introduced to friends and neighbors.
It is a tradition to eat rice cakes for the 100th day, so we will eat rice cakes today!
Here is Miss Ruby on her 100th day:
And here is all 3 of my girls on their 100th day:
I also have a scrapbook layout to share. Isn’t it fitting that on Ruby’s 100th day, I am sharing a layout featuring a photo of our family of 5 in the hospital on Ruby’s birthday?!
For this layout, I used the My Mind’s Eye’s Sugar Plum Collection. Even though this line is a holiday collection, you can use a lot of the products on non-holiday layouts. I love how this layout turned out, and I’m so glad that I have a layout for Ruby’s baby album!
Thanks for dropping by friends, and
My sister-in-law got married over the summer, and my girls got to be her flower girls. They absolutely love to get dressed up, so they were both over the moon for their fluffy white dresses.
Today, I’m on the My Mind’s Eye blog with a flower girls & ring bearers layout featuring their new Yes, please! collection. This collection is absolutely perfect for wedding and love themed layouts!

We have been spending quite a lot of time at the pool this summer, and our girls just love it! I bought some “underwater housing” for my iPhone off of Amazon a few weeks back, which basically looks like a heavy duty ziplock bag, and it’s been fun to take underwater pics of the girls!
Here’s a layout I made using some of the underwater pics.
Happy Thursday y’all!
Hey guys! I hope you’re having a lovely summer so far!
I documented my Pioneer Woman book signing in a scrapbook layout. The floral in My Mind’s Eye’s Hello Gorgeous collection was perfect for this layout. I love how it turned out! You can find more photos and details on my My Mind’s Eye blog post.

My girls are officially on summer break, and my kindergarten grad came home with a summer bucket list, and her #1 goal is to go to the beach. I thought it’d be perfect to make her a traveler’s notebook using My Mind’s Eye By the Sea collection.
Hope you stop by the MME blog for more pics and info!
