December Daily, days 10 & 12, featuring Hip Kit Club

Hello friends!  I hope you all had an amazing Christmas!  I’m sure we are all recovering from the early morning and all the food.  Ha!  Today I’m sharing days 10 & 12 of my album.  I don’t work on my album every night, but I am making time for this project, and still loving it.

I am using the gold album, along with the Hip Kit Club December Documented Kit, and the November 2017 Main Kit, Cardstock KitEmbellishment Kit, and Project Life Kit.  I have been loving the 3×4 cards in the Project Life Kit and the December Documented Kit… these cards make it so easy: you can stick one in a pocket as is (like the Believe in the Magic of Christmas card), or you can punch them out (like the presents card I punched into a circle), and they make journaling a breeze!

Here is my day 10:  We went to see Santa in November, but I’m sharing it on day 10.  (Also, in Texas, Santa wears cowboy boots, haha!)

Here is my day 12:  Stewart, our elf, managed to cleverly stow himself away in a glass pitcher, so the girls could safely take him around all over the place without touching him.  My 7 year old LOVED it!  On the left is a series of photos I took of my girls and the elf, and you can see the baby got a hold of the lid.  The looks on my 7 yr old face is priceless!

That’s it for me today.  I hope you have been liking my December Daily series, and I hope I’ve inspired you to get crafty.

Happy Tuesday!

December Daily, days 6, 7, & 8, featuring Hip Kit Club

Hello friends and welcome to another December Daily share! Today I’m sharing days 6, 7, and 8 of my album.  This is my 8th year doing December Daily, and it’s one of my favorite December traditions.  Do you document your holiday season?  What are your favorite December traditions?  I love December Daily, decorating, and sending out holiday cards.

I am using the gold album, along with the Hip Kit Club December Documented Kit, and the November 2017 Main Kit, Cardstock KitEmbellishment Kit, and Project Life Kit.  I have been loving the 3×4 cards in the Project Life Kit and the December Documented Kit… these cards make it so easy to add journaling to my album!

Here’s day 8:

For day 8, I’m documenting our holiday cards.  I always like to include my envelope, and instead of leaving it blank, I did a little hand written sentiment.  I have our holiday card behind my envelope as well.

Day 7:

We haven’t gotten any snow here in our part of Texas since 2010, and it snowed!  IT SNOWED!  We didn’t get very much, but it was magical!  My second daughter has always wanted to see snow, so she was filled with JOY to finally experience the snow!

Day 6:

A simple spread about black Friday food related purchases.  By the way, I am LOVING my Nespresso machine!

Another few pages done!  I love how you can personalize your albums to be as simple or as embellished as you want (or have time for).  You can check out my other days on my blog by clicking on the december daily category.

Thanks for stoping by, and I hope you get crafty!

Happy Tuesday y’all!

Tea Party Layout, featuring Sweet Stamp Shop

Hello friends!  I’m here with a scrapbooking post today!  My middle daughter turned 7 this past summer, and she had a tea party themed birthday.  I wanted to document her special day, and the Sweet Stamp Shop Happy Birthday stamp set and Tea Time stamp set were perfect for this layout!

ahsang sweet teacup LO 1 WM

First, I stamped out some the images on white cardstock with black ink.  I stamped the images randomly several times, creating my own background paper.  I also stamped out a couple to color with copic markers.  I tried to pick colors that matched my photo.  After coloring, I used the matching metal dies to cut a few pieces out.

Next, I got to work on my layout.  I started by layering a piece of pattern paper behind my photo.  Then I added some mixed media to a piece of white cardstock.  I used some distress ink in spun sugar and Shimmerz spray in Ruby.

I decided I wanted to embellish my layout with circles, so I die cut a whole bunch of circles from my stamped pattern paper and other pattern paper from my stash.  Again, I tried to look for colors that coordinated with my photo, and I like the gold glitter paper too.

I layed out the stamps on my layout, and kind of pushed them around until I liked the way they looked.  I attached the circles, and I used foam tape on a few of the circles to create some depth.  Then, I added the stamped and colored images with foam tape on a couple of the circles.

I stamped the happy birthday sentiment to the top and bottom of my layout, and I added some journaling below my photo.  I added a few enamel dots and some gold ink splatters.  To finish, I attached my layout to a piece of pattern paper, and machine stitched around the edge.

I hope you like my layout, and got some good ideas.  You could easily simplify this layout by skipping one or more of these steps.  I encourage you to get crafty, and don’t forget to stop by the Sweet Stamp Shop store!

Happy Thursday!

December Daily, days 2, 4, & 5, featuring Hip Kit Club

Hello friends!  Today I am sharing a few pages in my DD album.  I am working on my album whenever I can (not every night), and loving it!!!  Are you doing a December Daily album?

I am using the gold album, along with the Hip Kit Club December Documented Kit, and the November 2017 Main Kit, Cardstock KitEmbellishment Kit, and Project Life Kit.  There are so many goodies in these kits, but the exclusives are some of my favorites!  Love that sequin mix!

Let me work backwards, and start with my favorite page…

Day 5: just a little story about shopping at TJMaxx (one of my favorite places to shop…and it’s right next to TARGET) with baby girl, and all the smiles we got because she was wearing her Christmas bonnet.

I especially love the way this tag came out and the journaling I did within the frames.  Yay…happy face!

Day 4: just an ordinary Monday!

December Daily cover page and Day 1, featuring Hip Kit Club

Hey friends!  I hope your December is off to a great start!  I’m so excited to be working on another December Daily album!  This will be my 8th December Daily album…I started in 2010, and have been hooked ever since!

Today, I’m sharing the start of my December Documented album with you.  I’m not one to have my foundation pages ahead of time…I like to take it day by day, and see where the photos take me.  How about you?  Do you do your foundation pages ahead of time?

For my December Documented album, I will be using the gold 6×8 album (It’s amazing), the 2017 December Documented kit, November 2017 Main kit, November 2017 Project Life kit, and the November 2017 Embellishment kit from Hip Kit Club.

ahsang HKC DD1 1

For the front of my album, I used those fabulous Crate Paper tassels and buttons.  I may end up hanging them so you can see them when the album is closed hanging off the spine.  For my cover page, I made a simple half circle shaker page using vellum, the HKC exclusive holiday sequin mix, and gold numbers from American Crafts DIY shop.

For day 1, I documented my homemade advent (which I made in 2015), and the return of Stewart, our elf.  The journaling cards in the Hip Kit Club December Documented Kit and the Project Life Kit are fabulous, and make pocket pages quick and easy!

You can see my Day 1-2 for 2015 here, and my title page and Day 1 for 2016 here.

I hope you like what I’ve created, and I inspired you to get crafty.

Happy Tuesday!

Now on to my layout!

ahsang HKC nutcracker 1

My family and I went to see the Nutcracker ballet a few years ago, and while I scrapped it in my December Daily album, I wanted to create a 12 x 12 layout for my regular album as well.

ahsang HKC nutcracker 2ahsang HKC nutcracker 3ahsang HKC nutcracker 4

I used the powder blue cardstock from the November 2017 cardstock kit to cut my twisted lights frame cut file.  Then I backed the bulbs with various papers from the November 2017 Main Kit.  I also used a few pieces from the November 2017 Project Life and December Documented kits to embellish my layouts.

It was so easy to create this layout with such an awesome cut file!

I hope you’re enjoying our hop!

Happy Saturday!
