Two, featuring Hip Kit Club

Hey everyone!

I’ve got a layout today featuring the Hip Kit Club January 2019 Main Kit, Embellishment Kit, Color Kit, and Project Life Kit.

I have a YT process video if you’re interested!

I am documenting my daughter enjoying a slice of cake at her 2nd birthday party.  She wanted to eat her cake all by herself, and she did a pretty darn good job!  Isn’t she just the cutest?!!!

I haven’t really scrapbooked her birthday party yet, but when I saw the celebrate thickers in the January embellishment kit, I knew it was perfect.

I was challenged to use the b sides of paper, and the Pinkfresh Studio chipboard frames.  Since I was going to use the frames, I remembered a cut file that we got from the HKC 12 days of giving (It’s day 12).  I just removed the Christmas words before cutting, and then I used them to back my photos.

I wanted to do a little bit of work on my background.  I used the stencil and the modeling paste that we got in the Color kit.  I used some shimmerz from previous color kits, and I created some texture on the background.  I added some light blue splatters as well.

I added the pattern paper frames, the photos, and the chipboard frames.

I used the Pinkfresh Studio layered heart stickers, the “hooray for cake” sticker and the silver glitter star stickers from the Celebrate Thickers, and some puffy hearts from the Pinkfresh Studio puffy sticker sheet to embellish my layout.

To finish off my layout, I added the title and my journaling strips.

That’s it for me!  I really love how my layout turned out, and I hope you do too!

Happy Thursday!

2019, featuring Hip Kit Club

Hey friends!  Today I’m sharing a layout I created with my Hip Kits.  I was challenged to use a cut file, and some Hip Kit Club exclusive printables available to subscribers.  I am also using the HKC 2018 December Main kit, Project Life kit, and Embellishment kit.  I chose colors and embellishments from the printables and the Dec kits to compliment my photo, and I love the way it turned out!

ahsang hkc 2019 2

I used the Scandi Numbers from the HKC 12 days of Giving (day 4) to create my 2019 title.  I cut it out of white cardstock, and backed it with a HKC exclusive Navy blue pattern paper from the Dec kit.

ahsang hkc 2019 3

I chose 2 pattern papers from the printables, and 2 pattern papers from the Dec Main kit, and cut them down to 3×4.  I also chose 2 3×4 cards from the PL kit, and I adhered all them onto white cardstock in a grid format.  [This is one of my go-to formats, because it fits in with my graphic style, and it helps spark creativity when I’m in a bit of a creative lull.]  I added some random machine stitching through the papers.

Next, I backed my paper with a little bit of pattern paper, and attached it to the layout with foam adhesive.  I added the 2019 title, overlapping and layering to create interest.

I embellished the layout with a lot of pieces from the printables, and some tiny cute puffy stickers.

I really like how my layout turned out.  I wanted to document my excitement for 2019, and the adventures with our girls that head our way.

Big December Daily 2018 Wrap up post, with photos of every page & product links

Hey y’all!  As you can tell, this is my DD2018 wrap up post, and I will include photos and product links at the end.  Many of the products are from my stash and may no longer be available, so I will list what I can.  (I will also try to link similar products if the item is no longer available.)

I absolutely love this project!  I look forward to it every year, and it’s one of our favorites to flip through as a family.  For us, it’s a yearbook of sorts, to see how the girls grow and change throughout the years… how their styles change, how their handwriting gets better, what was on their wish lists, etc.

2 layouts, featuring Pinkfresh Studio

Hello friends!  I’m on the Pinkfresh Studio blog today!

I am sharing 2 layouts I created with the Pinkfresh Studio Indigo Hills 2 collection and a couple of free cut files that you can access on the Pinkfresh Studio Friends & Fans Facebook group.

For my first layout, I used the Mandala snowflake cut file.  I thought they looked really pretty as flowers, so I used them on a layout of my 2 year old.

I cut the cut file on white cardstock, and instead of piecing it back together, I separated the pieces.  I used the outer edge, and the very inner piece.  I like how there 2 different flowers, and there are 6 flowers instead of 3.  I added some watercolor splatters onto my layout (I used bubblegum, sapphire, and lavender), then glued on the flowers.  I was careful to only add glue to the center, so I could fluff up the petals.  I also liked having a couple of the flowers hang off the edge.

I added my title using the mini puffy alpha stickers.  My little one is She is 100% sugar & spice (maybe more spice than sugar on some days, ha!).

I embellished my layout with flowers I fussy cut from the Glen paper, some chipboard hearts, puffy stickers, enamel dots, and the layered hearts embellishments that I made.  I hope you guys aren’t sick of my layered hearts yet, because I love them, lol!

For my second layout, I used the 2019 Leaves & Lights cut file.  It was the perfect cut file to use with the photo of my 2 younger daughters on New Year’s Eve.

I backed all the open elements with pattern paper, then adhered them to a light pink cardstock with foam squares.  I matted the pink cardstock on the Valley paper, then stitched around the edges.

I nestled my photo above the 19.  I embedded it with some pieces from the ephemera pack, some puffy stickers, and enamel dots.

I also created another embellishment cluster to the top left of the layout, because it was looking a little unbalanced.

I really like how my layouts turned out, and the cut files make such a big impact on these layouts!  I really hope you’ll check out the Indigo Hills 2 collection, the free cut files, and our FB fan page.

Happy Thursday!

2018 Christmas card layout, featuring Hip Kit Club

Hello friends!

Today, I’m sharing a mood board inspired layout with you using the Hip Kit Club 2018 December Main Kit, and the puffy wood grain alpha from the Embellishment kit.  I also used one of the HKC exclusive cut files from December.  It’s called forest, and it was day 6 of the 12 days of giving.

jan 2019 mood board

Even though the first thing that jumps out at you from the mood board is the bright colors, I was drawn to all the white space, and the black and white polkadot image on the top left corner, so I will have a lot of white on my layout, and I doodled a few polkadots on one of the trees.

Since I make a December Daily album, I don’t make a lot of traditional Christmas layouts, but there are a few that I would like in my albums.  One of those is our Christmas card.

ahsang hkc 2018 2

First I cut out the cut file on my silhouette machine.  I actually cut it out twice, then glued them together for added dimension.  I love how it turned out!  Then I backed the open trees with some exclusive pattern paper.  On another piece of white cardstock, I added some ink splatters in coordinating colors.  Once dry, I adhered the cut file to the cardstock, then I machine stitched on some of the tree trunks.

ahsang hkc 2018 5

Next, I added the Christmas card, then embellished it with treed from the HKC exclusive chipboard sticker sheet, and the HKC exclusive ephemera pack.

ahsang hkc 2018 3

I added the year with the Pinkfresh Studio alphas.  To finish off my layout, I added 3 puffy woodgrain stars.

ahsang hkc 2018 4

Well that’s it for me!  I hope you’re inspired by the layout and the mood board!

Happy Monday!

December Daily, day 25 & a pocket page

Hello friends!

Today I’m sharing day 25 and the last pocket page of my December Daily 2018.  I also have a process video if you’re interested:

For day 25, I had a lot of instax photos that I wanted on one layout.  I took a bunch of photos after Christmas lunch using the Santa FB filter, and I love them all.  I was trying to figure out how to get them all on the page, especially since I can’t cut the instax film, when I remembered the waterfall technique floating around instagram.  So, through trial & error, I decided to give it a try.

ahsang HKC DD25 1

I used a lot of the 3×4 PL cards from the Hip Kit Club 2018 December Documented kit, and a Hip Kit Club exclusive paper from the 2018 December Main kit for the background.

ahsang HKC DD25 2

ahsang HKC DD25 5

I really love how it came out, and I’m glad I gave it a try!

On the left side, is a photo that I printed, then cut out into a circle with my silhouette cameo machine.

I also made a pocket page to house all the Christmas cards that we get inn the mail.  I used another Hip Kit Club exclusive paper from the December Main kit.

On the left is a full page photo of the kids (hearts for privacy).

That’s it for now.  I’ll be sharing a flip through video of my album soon, so keep a look out for that!

Happy Thursday!
