Hello friends and welcome! Today, I’m here to share a Traveler’s Notebook (TN) Spread using the new Altenew Build-A-Flower Poppy stamp & die set. Blog hop and giveaway info will be below.
When I saw this stamp set, one of my most favorite photos that I’ve ever taken popped into mind, and I knew I had to create something with the photo.
First, I started off by printing my photo to almost fill one side of my TN. I printed it off, and trimmed it to about 4 1/4 x 7 1/2 in. I adhered the photo to the page. Next, I grabbed a piece of Neenah solar white card stock, and I stamped the outline images of the 2 big flowers all over creating my own pattern paper. I trimmed it to about 5 x 8 in, and adhered it to the right side of my TN.
I grabbed another piece of white cardstock, and I started stamping the poppies using the Altenew inks in the Red Sunset Mini Cube set. I really love the Crimson red ink! On some of the flowers, I just double stamped the crimson on the next layer, and I love the subtle look it gives. I also stamped a few of the leaves out in one of the inks in the Altenew Green Meadows mini cube set. Once I finished stamping, I used the coordinating dies to cut out the images.
I made a little journaling tag from craft cardstock, and I used my typewriter to type a little journaling. I added the tag, a few flowers, and a couple of the small leaves to my TN.
I wanted a sentiment, so I used the “you are bloomin’ gorgeous” sentiment from the stamp set, and heat embossed it in white on black cardstock. I trimmed it out, and adhered it on top of the photo.
To finish my TN spread off, I added some ribbon and twine to the tag, I added some washi tape to the photo, and I added some gold splatter and a heart paper clip. I really love how my project turned out!

Hello friends and welcome! Today, I’m here to share with you a card and a tag I made using the new Build-a-Flower Daffodil stamp and die set from Altenew.
Be sure to stop by the Altenew scrapbook blog and card blog and follow along the blog hop for more inspiration and giveaways. (More information below.)
I decided to make a card and a tag for this blog hop. Daffodiles are so pretty and the sentiments are great in this set.
First, I started off by stamping the images using Altenew inks in yellows for the flower (I did add in a light orange ink from my stash), and greens for the stem and leaves on Neenah white cardstock. I knew that I might what to add some gold heat embossing, so I saved the outline image for last.
Next, I used the coordinating dies to cut it out. On a piece of white cardstock, I used some distress inks to ink blend a background. For the cards, I used blues, and for the tag, I added in a bit of pink and lavender. I die cut a rectangle and a tag out of the backgrounds. Then I reached for one of my favorite stencils- it has tiny hearts all over it- and used texture paste mixed with a little bit of Nuvo glimmer paste for some texture and interest.
While waiting for the hearts to dry, I picked a couple of sentiments, and white heat embossed them only a piece of black cardstock.
Once I had all my pieces ready to go, I assembled the card and the tag, using glue and foam squares to put my projects together.
I really love how my cards turned out. I love this Altenew BAF Daffodil stamp set!

Hello friends and welcome! Today, I’m here to share with you a layout I made using the new Build-a-flower: Flourishing Zinnia stamp & die set from Altenew.
Be sure to stop by the Altenew scrapbook blog and card blog and follow along the blog hop for more inspiration and giveaways. (More information below.)
I decided to create a scrapbook layout using the stamps and die. One of the great things about making your own embellishments is that you can choose the colors you want to make them. My favorite color is blue & mint, so I thought why not! I made 3 blue flowers and mint colored leaves, and I couldn’t be happier with how it turned out!
I started out by stamping the flowers and leaves using the guide on the back of the stamp set. I used the Altenew Northern Lights Mini ink cube set for the leaves, and for the flowers, I ended up using Distress inks. Then, I used the matching dies to cut out the images.
Next I trimmed my photos, and backed them to a piece of pattern paper from the Altenew Reflection scrapbook collection. Since I used black & white photos, I could essentially make the layout whatever color I decided to. I like the monochromatic look with just a little pop of color. I chose a black and white striped paper from the same Reflection collection as my background. I added a little mixed media on it, although most of it is covered by my photo and embellishments. I added my flowers and some more bits and pieces from the Reflection scrapbook collection to embellish my layout. My title is 38, and the “you are simply awesome” sentiment is from the Flourishing Zinnia stamp set.
Here’s a closeup of the journaling. I just found some funny “adulthood” quotes on Pinterest, and used them as my journaling to joke about me turning 38. Ha!
I love this cute stamp and die set! The Build-A-Flower: Zinnia set includes a stamp set and a coordinating die set. Here is the layering guide:
