December Daily cover page and Day 1, featuring Hip Kit Club

Hey friends!  I hope your December is off to a great start!  I’m so excited to be working on another December Daily album!  This will be my 8th December Daily album…I started in 2010, and have been hooked ever since!

Today, I’m sharing the start of my December Documented album with you.  I’m not one to have my foundation pages ahead of time…I like to take it day by day, and see where the photos take me.  How about you?  Do you do your foundation pages ahead of time?

For my December Documented album, I will be using the gold 6×8 album (It’s amazing), the 2017 December Documented kit, November 2017 Main kit, November 2017 Project Life kit, and the November 2017 Embellishment kit from Hip Kit Club.

For the front of my album, I used those fabulous Crate Paper tassels and buttons.  I may end up hanging them so you can see them when the album is closed hanging off the spine.  For my cover page, I made a simple half circle shaker page using vellum, the HKC exclusive holiday sequin mix, and gold numbers from American Crafts DIY shop.

For day 1, I documented my homemade advent (which I made in 2015), and the return of Stewart, our elf.  The journaling cards in the Hip Kit Club December Documented Kit and the Project Life Kit are fabulous, and make pocket pages quick and easy!

I hope you like what I’ve created, and I inspired you to get crafty.

Happy Tuesday!

December Daily 2016: days 18-25

Hey guys!  I’m here with my last December Daily 2016 post  I hope you have enjoyed my DD series so far.  You can find my previous blog posts on my album, title page & day 1 here, my days 2-8 here, and my days 9-17 here.

Let’s jump right in!  I will list supplies at the end.

Day 18:

Day 18 is my obligatory Starbucks spread.  I followed Ali’s day 12, and stapled a Starbucks sleeve to a 3×4 paper.  I also took photos of the P family, so I stuck in a photo from that shoot as well.  The “December Joys” flag on the left is an old Ali Edwards digital brush from years ago.

Day 19:

On Day 19, we had Ruby’s 2 month well check with shots.  My poor baby!  I hate when they have to get shots!  I also included a 3×8 spread on the right, although it kind of blends in with the next day in the photo.

Day 20:

You can see the 3×8 insert in these photos.  The girls wanted to hold the baby, so I put the photos of them on the left.  On the right, I included stories of the girls’ and how they got to go out with friends.

Day 21 & 22:

On day 21, I talk about doing the majority of my Christmas shopping online, and the pretty wrapping paper I bought at Target.  On day 22, my girls had their routine dentist appointments.

Day 23:

The girls decorated a gingerbread house on day 23.  They decorated it all by themselves this year, with no help from me.  Love this messy & fun tradition!

more day 23:

Ruby turned 2 months, so I included her 2 month photo, and journaled a bit about her on a piece of vellum.  I also included a page about the pups.  Ah…my heart is full!

Day 24:

Christmas Eve traditions for day 24 spread.  We always open gifts with family on Christmas Eve, so there are normally lots of photos.  I love the page protector with 12 squares because I can fit so many photos!

Day 25:

Christmas day magic!  Santa came, my daughter lost a tooth, and all the kiddos.  I bought the blue tag with the gold trees and the image of Santa from TJMaxx.

I always like to document the places our elf has been with a double page, and here is this year’s:

For my last page, I included a photo I took on New Year’s day.  I really liked how it tied in the New Year.  I think I might make it a new tradition and always end my album with a picture from New Year’s day.

Finally, I add photo cards and other paper memorabilia (like the program to my daughter’s holiday concert) by punching them directly and adding them to my album.  I also made another pocket page to house smaller cards (like thank you cards from my girls’ teachers) and added it to the back of my album.

…and my album is finished!

Love this project!

Supplies used:

Studio calico 6×8 album

Ali Edwards Christmas Star digital stamp

December Daily 2016: Days 9-17

Hey guys!  I’m back with days 9-17 of my December Daily 2016 album.  You can see my title page and day 1 here, and days 2-8 here.

Let’s just jump right in!

Day 9:

Day 9’s story was about the Trail of Lights.  It’s just so magical walking through all the twinkle lights with hot cocoa!  My husband took the big girls this year, as it was too cold for a newborn…I can’t wait till we can go as a family of 5 next year!  As for the supplies, the number 9 chipboard is from Pinkfresh Studio.  The phrase stickers are also from Pinkfresh Studio.  The polkadot transparency is one that I picked up from the scrapbooking section at Michaels.

Day 10:

Day 10’s story is about lazy Saturdays and being obsessed with mini powdered donuts…is there such a thing as breast feeding cravings?  If not, there should be, lol.  The number chipboard are Pinkfresh Studio.

Day 11:

Day 11’s story is about baby smiles!, trays and trays of ham & swiss cheese sliders, and bedtime bible stories.  The journal card is from In a Creative Bubble, the acetate number 11 is from Pinkfresh Studio, and the Sunday chipboard sticker is from Becky Higgins.

Day 12:

I created the “Love this season of Joy” filler card using an Ali Edwards digital brush.  The red chipboard 12 is an older October Afternoon product.  The number acetate sheet is another one that I picked up from Michaels.  The phrase sticker is from Pinkfresh Studio, and that green label sticker is from My Mind’s Eye.

Day 13:

Day 13’s story is about going to school to visit my 1st grader, my 10 year old making a holiday shaker card for her teacher, and advent goodies.  The label is from In a Creative Bubble.

Day 14:

Day 14’s story is about sending out Christmas cards: both our family card and a few handmade cards, which I blogged about here.  The acetate 14th is from Pinkfresh studio.  The falalala Llama is a digital stamp from Just Me Digital Stamps etsy shop.

Day 15:

Day 15’s story is about school holiday parties!  I used papers from My Mind’s Eye Sugar Plum paper line, printables from In a Creative Bubble, the phrase sticker is Pinkfresh studio, and the number 15 are My Favorite Things stitched number dies that I diecut from glitter paper I had in my stash.

Day 16:

Day 16 is a big photo of our lights outside.  The number chipboard stickers are by Crate Paper, and I used the printables from In a Creative Bubble.

Day 17:

Day 17 is about cookie making!!!  The girls love this tradition; my 6 year old just piles on the sprinkles!  The journaling card is from In a Creative Bubble, the phrase stickers are Pinkfresh Studio, and the 17 is the My Favorite Things stitched number dies.

That’s it for today!  Don’t forget to check back for the final installment of my December Daily 2016 series!

Happy Sunday!

December Daily 2016 days 2-8

Hey guys!

I’m back with part 2 of my December Daily 2016 posts.  I will be linking as many products as I can to Ali Edwards, In a Creative Bubble, Butterfly Reflections Ink, and  You can catch part 1 here.

Day 2:

Two stories for day 2:  giving in and taking a nap with a fussy Ruby, and a big haircut for Ellie.  The journaling card is from In a Creative Bubble, and the wood veneer number is Dear Lizzy.

Day 3:

Lots of stories for day 3: Christmas card photo shoot (and outtakes), pancake breakfast at the girls’ school, and bed shopping!  For this spread, I used printables and a journal card from In a Creative Bubble, Pinkfresh Studio acetate card and phrase stickers, My Mind’s Eye Comfort & Joy paper, and the #3 tag is an old release from October Afternoon.

Day 4:

Day 4 was an around the house post, as well as a milestone and letter to my oldest, Lola. For this spread, I used printables from In a Creative Bubble, Pinkfresh Studio acetate card, My Mind’s Eye Comfort & Joy paper, Becky Higgins Saturday chipboard sticker, and the #4 is an old release from October Afternoon.  I made the Santa pocket from My Mind’s eye Sugar Plum paper to hold the letter to my daughter.

Day 5:

Day 5 was about after bath snapchat filters.  On the left, I created my own pattern paper by using Ali Edward’s merry digital brush in photoshop.  The # 5 is a Dear Lizzy wood veneer that I heat embossed with gold embossing powder.  The label is a printable from In a Creative Bubble.  I believe the polkadot paper is an older My Mind’s Eye product.

Day 6:

Day 6 showcased the girls’ letter to Santa and Santa pictures.  We always try to take Santa pictures early, mid to late November, to avoid the lines!  (Love the Santa pic on the left!)  I used Pinkfresh Studio’s phrase stickers, and the # 6 is a Crate Paper thicker.

Day 7:

Day 7 was about baby smiles, trips to target, Dr appointments, a Christmas card photoshoot, and advent candy.  I used Becky Higgins chipboard stickers, Pinkfresh Studio phrase stickers, and the glitter gold star is an older product from Studio Calico.

Day 8:

Day 8 was about my daughter’s holiday concert/book drive.  I made a pocket from My Mind’s Eye Sugar Plum paper to keep an article about the concert that my daughter was quoted in.  I also used My Mind’s Eye Comfort & Joy paper,  Pinkfresh Studio phrase stickers, and In a Creative Bubble printables.  The # 8 is a Pebbles thicker.

That’s it for today!  Thanks for stopping by, and tune in soon for another round of December Daily!

Happy Tuesday!

December Daily 2016 part 1: title page & Day 1

Hey guys!

I finally finished my December Daily yesterday!  I love this project so so much, but oh my word it was so hard finding time to work on it with an infant!

I missed out on buying a December Daily album this year from Ali Edward’s shop, so I purchased this one from Studio Calico.  On the website it looked red, but when I got it in the mail, it is hot pink…I should’ve known with a name like flamingo, lol.  It’s okay though since I’m using a lot of pinks, blues, greens and reds in my album.

I did purchase a digital Christmas star stamp set from Ali’s shop.  I also purchased holiday prompt cards and joyful elements no. 2 from In a Creative Bubble.  I’ll be using a lot of My Mind’s Eye Sugar Plum and Comfort & Joy lines, Pinkfresh Studio holiday products, Older October Afternoon products, and stuff I have in my holiday stash.

I had worked on my title page and Day 1 post early on in December, and posted it on the My Mind’s Eye blog.  I forgot to blog about it on my blog…blame it on Mommy brain.  If you want more details, you can check it out on the MME blog here.

Title page:

Day 1:

Day one is about our elf Stewart making his appearance and our 2nd annual advent that I made last year.  Fun & easy made with My Mind’s Eye products!

I’ll be back soon with more December Daily posts!

Happy Sunday!

3 holiday cards & day 18 of my 2015 December Daily

Hey guys!  How is your December going so far?  I have been busy busy busy!  I am homeroom mom for both my girls’ classes, I’ve been baking for friends and teachers to share handmade kindness, I have been card making for crafty friends, my girls danced in their dance studio’s the Nutcracker, we went to see the Nutcracker ballet, I’m trying to document it all in a December Daily album… and the list goes on and on!  So much to do…so little time!

However, I’ve got 3 cards for you today, as well as a page in my December Daily album. (Supplies & links will be at the bottom of this post)

I have been loving Elena R’s digital stamps.  She is @MOM2SOFIA on instagram, and her etsy shop is JustMEdigitalstamps.  I purchased her Christmas elves digital stamp, and Nutcracker sweet digital stamp.  Then the other day, I saw that she kindly had a free baby Jesus digital stamp offered on her blog, so of course I had to check it out!  (This post is not sponsored, I just love her digital stamps.)

I love digital stamps because they are so affordable, you can customize the size, and you can use them as many times as you want!  I printed mine on Neenah white card stock with my home printer, and I was able to color with copic markers with no bleeding.  My girls used water based crayola markers, and there was no bleeding with those markers as well.

Here are the 3 cards I made:  You can make your cards as detailed as you want or clean and simple…either way, it just works!

For the Nutcracker card, I colored the image with copic marker, stamped a Hero Arts sentiment, and die cut it with a stitched rectangle die.  I backed it with patterned paper (an older Dear Lizzy paper), added a twine bow, some sequins, and adhered it to navy blue card stock.

For the Christmas elves & baby Jesus cards, I colored the images with copic markers, adhered them to my card base, and topped it off with clear glitter marker and sequins.

Here is my December Daily day 18.  (I am so behind on December Daily…I have days 1-3 and 18 done, lol!)

ahsang m2s 2

For this day, I printed out several smaller versions of the baby Jesus image.  I had my daughters each color one, and I colored one as well.  We talked about the REASON for the season, and I love how I can see their coloring skills and how they write their name.  For the 4th sleeve, there are actually 2 layers.  I made the 18 card using a Tim Holtz number stamp set and gold embossing powder.  The layer on top is a piece of vellum that I printed the quote on.  I love “A Charlie Brown Christmas!”  I die cut all these cards using a Project Life 3×4 rounded corners die.  (I’m using a red 2015 6×8 Ali Edwards December Daily album.  It is sold out)
