Hello friends!  Today I’ve got 2 cards to share with you using the July 2019 Glimmer Hot Foil of the Month (GOM), called Glimmering Sentiments.

This month you get five hot foil plate sentiments, as well as the coordinating metal dies.  You also get the Pewter foil this month.

For my first card, I used the sentiment Wishing You Well.  I made a wreath using the Spellbinders Thanks a Bunch clear stamp set.  I used Distress Oxide inks, in the colors Abandoned Coral, Picked Raspberry, Peacock FeathersSeedless Preserves, Worn Lipstick, Spun Sugar, Spiced Marmalade, Fossilized Amber, and Cracked Pistachio, my Misti stamping tool, and a wreath building stencil to create my card.

For my sentiment, I used the Pink foil, and I also added a few flowers from a previous Spellbinders LDOM, which is still available, called Layered Cake Sparkles.  I trimmed the stamped panel, and adhered it to a square cards base with foam adhesive.  To finish off my card, I added some liquid pearls in white opal, taffy, and marigold.

For my next card, I used the sentiment You Brighten My Day.  I did a little bit of ink blending on a piece of pale blue cardstock.  I added light layers of Distress Inks in the color Salty Ocean, Chipped Sapphire, and Black Soot.  Once fully dry, I foiled my sentiment using Prism foil.  Using the coordinating die, I die cut a piece of copy paper.  I added just a tiny bit of repositionable glue, and used it as a mask to cover my sentiment.  Then, I used the FSJ Space Galaxy Background stamp, Versamark ink, and white embossing powder to heat emboss the background.

To finish off my card, I added a few jewels from the FSJ Space Glow embellishments, and a few dots created with Nuvo Crystal Drops in White Blizzard.  I added the panel to a white card base with foam tape.

I love the way my cards turned out, and I hope you do too.

Foiled Flower card, featuring Spellbinders June 2019 GOM

Hello friends!  I hope you are having a wonderful day.  Today I’m sharing a foiled flower card, using the Spellbinders June 2019 Glimmer Hot Foil of the Month (GOM).  This month you get the Radiant Flower set, which includes six hot foil plates, as well as the coordinating metal dies.  The kit also includes the Pink foil.

I’m using the Everyday Sentiments II glimmer plate sentiment that says “Thanks a bunch,” and I’m also using the Fancy Edged Rectangles nesting die set.

I filmed a YT process video as well:

On some various tones of maroon and pink cardstock, I used my Spellbinders Glimmer Hot Foil system, the floral glimmer plates and the pink foil to get the floral images.  I used a few tones of green and teal cardstock, and the Blush foil to get the leaves images.  Then, I used the coordinating dies, to die cut all the images.

Next, I took a piece of white cardstock, and foiled the sentiment with the pink foil.  I die cut it with the largest of the Fancy Edged Rectangles dies.  I added just a little bit of ink blending, starting at the top of the panel to create a ombre look.  I used the Distress Oxide ink in Worn Lipstick.

I arranged and adhered the diecut flowers and leaves onto the panel.  I used liquid glue on some of the layers, and foam dots on others.  I tied a piece of twine right under the sentiment, then adhered the whole panel onto a white card base using fun foam.

I love all the texture and layers that I created on this card.  It turned out so feminine and pretty.  I really hope you were inspired, and I hope you check out the fantastic products on the Spellbinders website.

Happy Friday!

Best Wishes card, featuring Spellbinders May 2019 GOM

Hello friends!  I hope you are having a wonderful weekend so far.  Today I’m sharing a Best Wishes card, using the Spellbinders May 2019 Glimmer Hot Foil of the Month (GOM).  I also used the flower and leaves dies from the May 2019 Large Die of the Month (LDOM).

On a piece of white cardstock, I used my Glimmer Hot Foil System to hot foil the filigree frame with the Polished Brass foil, which both came in the GOM.  Next, I used Distress Oxide inks in Squeezed Lemonade and Abandoned Coral with an old makeup brush to ink blend right on top of the hot foil.  I hadn’t tried foiling first, then ink blending before, so this was a bit of an experiment.  After all the ink blending, I took a paper towel to buff off the residual ink on the foiling.  I will admit that the ink blending and the buffing did dull down the foiling a little bit, so I will stick to ink blending then foiling next time.  Using the oval die that came with the filigree frame, I die cut an oval from the center of the cardstock.  I then trimmed it down to slightly less than A2 sized.

On a separate piece of white cardstock, I used the “Best Wishes” sentiment that came with the Glimmer Hot Foil machine, and the same foil that I used for the frame.  I used foam tape on the back of the filigree frame panel, and adhered it the the Best Wishes panel.  Next, I adhered the entire thing to an A2 sized white card base.

I added some die cut flowers and leaves from the May LDOM to my card.  I finished it off using liquid pearls in brass and white opal.

I love how elegant and feminine my card turned out.  I hope you do too!  Don’t forget to check out all of the Spellbinders Clubs for kits filled with awesome value.  Thanks for stopping by.

Happy Sunday!

2 cards, featuring Spellbinders April 2019 Glimmer of the Month kit

Hey friends!  I recently received the Spellbinders Glimmer Hot Foil machine, so today I’m sharing 2 cards that I made using the machine, along with the April 2019 Glimmer of the Month kit.

I created a quick process video on how to use the Glimmer Foil machine, and I show you what I created with the April GOTM kit.

Here is the plates that you will receive along with a roll of Matte Silver Foil:

Plates

For my first card, I used all the plates (letters) to create a background image on pink cardstock, along with the rose gold foil.  Since I had so many plates on the platform at one time, the foiling didn’t come out perfectly, but I love how distressed it looks!

I die cut the Flutter Wing Butterfly die out of pink cardstock. (I die cut the body 3 times and glued them on top of each other to create a dimensional look.)  I also heat foiled the “Hello Friend” from the Everyday Sentiments II with the rose gold foil and black cardstock.

I cut a piece of Heidi Swapp “Paint the Town” pattern paper, and adhered it onto a white card base.  Then I added the foiled background piece with foam tape.  I adhered the butterfly with a thin sliver of foam tape under the body, and then I added the sentiment with foam tape as well.

For the second card, I decided to make a shaker element.

ahsang sb AprGOTM 4

First, on a piece of white cardstock, I ink blended 3 Distress Oxide inks together.  I used Abandoned Coral, Picked Raspberry, and Spun Sugar.  I sprinkled the ink-blended background with water, and dabbed it up with a paper towel to create a bleached effect.  I spelled out the word “love,” but left out the space for the O, and used the Prism hot foil.  I then die cut a small heart where the O should be.  I created a shaker element using clear acetate, foam tape, and tiny heart sequins.  I adhered the entire panel only a white card base with foam tape.  I added the “It’s Your Day” sentiment from the Everyday Sentiments II, along with the Prism hot foil and black cardstock.

I have to admit that I forgot to use the Matte Silver foil on my cards, as I was just too excited to play with the glimmer foil system.  However, I do use a piece of it in the video when I was demonstrating how to use the Glimmer machine.

I really hope you like my cards, and you found my video helpful.

Happy Sunday!
