Hello crafty friends! Today I’m sharing 3 cards that I made using the May 2019 Hip Kits. I used the Main Kit, Embellishment Kit, and Cardstock Kit. Whenever I make cards with scrapbooking supplies, I’m all about texture, layers, and dimension. These cards would definitely not fit in an envelope, lol, but I usually pit them in a gift bag along with the gift.
I also filmed a process video if you’re interested:
For my first card, I made 3 cute rosettes. I was super inspired by the Dear Lizzy ones that we got in last month’s Hip Kits. I trimmed patter paper down to 1 1/4 in (pink Pinkfresh Studio), 1 in (blue Paige Evans), and a little under 1 in (rainbow Paige Evans). I added die cut hearts to the center, and some hashtag word strips that I fussy cut from a Dear Lizzy pattern paper. I used 2 Paige Evans pattern paper for my background, adhered it to a white card base using fun foam, and added sequins to finish off my card.
For my next card, I wanted to use the striped Crate Paper pattern paper. I used the “Hey Girl” glitter chipboard sticker from Crate Paper, a Hip Kit Club exclusive fabric bow, a few sequins and stickers, and an orange card base.
For my last card, I used a blue card base, and the Pinkfresh Studio pattern paper. I wanted a cluster of all the pretty things, so I adhered them to a doily that we got from a few color kits back. I used one of my layered die cut hearts, a chipboard sticker, a HKC exclusive ephemera flower and fabric bow, and a few Crate Paper stickers. For my sentiment, I used a couple more hashtag strips, and a Crate Paper chipboard sticker.
I am really pleased with how my cards turned out, especially the rosette one. I hope I’ve inspired you to get crafty. Cards are a great way to use up leftover pieces from your kits…I encourage you to give it a try!
