Hello crafty friends! Today I’m on the Pinkfresh Studio blog, and I’m sharing a layout that I made using the brand new Days of Splendor collection from Pinkfresh Studio. There are so many goodies in this new collection, but my favorite part of the collection are the pops of red. Love!
For this layout, I’m documenting our anniversary, and how date night looked a lot different this year.
I really loved the giant chevron pattern on the Moments that Matter pattern paper, so I fussy cut it. I also wanted to incorporate some of the other pattern papers, so I cut out some chevrons from the Like a Dream and Grateful Heart pattern papers. I roughened the edges up a bit, then arranged them on a piece of blue cardstock. I added machine stitching through each chevron.
I adhered my photos to a piece of the Oh So Delightful pattern paper. I also fussy cut a journaling piece of the Totally Splendid pattern paper and tucked it in as a layering piece. I used foam squares to add more dimension and interest.
I embellished around the photo with some floral ephemera, puffy stickers, stickers, chipboard flair, and enamel dots. I really wanted to create a layered look, so I used foam squares, machine stitching, and my tiny stapler.
For just a little bit of journaling, I used a journaling frame from the ephemera pack. My “together” title is also from the ephemera pack.
To finish off my layout, I added some gold splatter, which went really well with the mustard and burnt orange colors in this collection.
Even though the Days of Splendor collection definitely has autumn vibes, there are pieces throughout that allow you to use it on any layout no matter the season. I really love how this layout turned out, and I hope you were inspired as well. I can’t wait to see what you all create with this collection!
