2 Fall cards, featuring Spellbinders October 2019 GOM

Hello friends!  Today I’m sharing 2 cards that I created with the October 2019 Glimmer Hot Foil of the Month (GOM), called Sunset Harvest.

This month’s GOM comes with 6 plates and 5 coordinating dies.  You also get a copper foil roll.  The “many thanks” sentiment is perfect for this time of year.

I used my Spellbinders Glimmer Hot Foil system, the glimmer plates and the copper and polished brass foils for my cards.  I used my Spellbinders Platinum 6 die cutting machine and the coordinating dies as well.

For my first card, I decided to use the leaf plates and coordinating dies to make a wreath.  I chose a very fall color palette, and foiled and die cut the leaves.  I chose a light pink cardstock for the background.  I foiled the sentiment in the middle, and then trimmed down the cardstock to about 4 x 5 1/4 inches.  I glued the background panel on a white card base with fun foam.  Then I adhered the leaves in a wreath, using both liquid glue and foam tape.  To finish off my card, I splattered some gold color shine from Heidi Swapp, added some liquid pearls and glitter novo drops.

For the next card, I wanted to use all the hot plates included in the set.  First, I foiled the largest image on a sheet of maroon cardstock.  Then I foiled the other images and used the coordinating dies to die cut them.  For the sentiment, I foiled it on a larger piece of cardstock, and decided to cut it out in a banner shape.  I adhered everything to the card with liquid glue and foam squares.  To finish off the card, I used a white gel pen and added a border around the card base.  I also used the gold color shine, liquid pearls and novo glitter drops.

I really love the way these cards turned out.  The hot plates and foil is perfect for fall.  I hope you were inspired by my card, and I hope you check out the club kits on the Spellbinders website.

Happy Saturday!
