Hello crafty friends! Today I have 3 more cards to share with you using the May 2019 Hip Kit Club kits. I was challenged to use cut files, so I am using a cut file on each of my cards. You can check out all the cut files on the Hip Kit Club website!
For the first card, I made a 5×7 sized balloon shaker card.
I used the Balloon subscriber cutfile for the shaker element. I isolated one of the solid balloons, blew it up until the ballon was about 3 1/2 in wide, and created an internal offset so I would have a frame. I cut it out of white cardstock. I also cut out the solid balloon without the offset for the back of my shaker. I did a little ink blending with Distress Oxide ink in Picked Raspberry, which was from an older color kit, to create an ombre pink to white on the solid balloon. I used a Crate Paper clear sticker for the sentiment on the inside of the shaker. After adhering clear acetate to the balloon frame, and carefully adding foam tape to the balloon tape, I used the gorgeous sequins from the kits and attached it to the solid balloon. I also used a CP tassel and the gold string that was on the packaging for the tassels on the balloon. For the background, I used a Crate Paper pattern paper, some ink splatters using the Lindy’s Starburst Spray in TiffanyLou Blue and Cotton Candy Pink (from the March 2019 color kit), some hashtag words that I cut from the Dear Lizzy pattern paper, and some more sequins. I made the card base from the yellow cardstock in the cardstock kit.
For my next card, I used the Balloon cutfile again, but I used the entire cluster this time.
I cut each balloon from the Paige Evans Horizon pattern paper. (Each balloon is about an inch or so wide.) I used foam tape to pop up some of the balloons, and I used twine for the balloon strings. Then to ground the balloons, I used one of the CP chipboard stickers…it’s the hand that supposed to be making the OK symbol, but I turned it on it’s side to make it look like it’s holding the strings. I can’t decide yet if that was genius or if it just looks plain weird, lol!!! I used the Crate Paper rainbow pattern paper for the background, some more of the Lindy’s sprays, and some more of the sequins. The sentiment is from the HKC exclusive ephemera pack. I also hand drew a couple of stars on the pattern paper. I made the A2 sized card base from the blue paper from the cardstock kit.
For my 3rd card, I kept it pretty simple.
I die cut the “You Rock” sentiment twice from the Freebie Titles cut file on white cardstock. I sprayed one of the titles with the Lindy’s Cotton Candy Pink spray and with an older Shimmerz spray in Ruby to create a darker pink. I glued them together a little off set to create a shadowed effect. I also die cut a couple of big hearts, one is a Pinkfresh Studio pattern paper and the other is one that I made by using the same Lindy’s starburst sprays. I attached it to the Dear Lizzy hashtag pattern paper, and glued the sentiment on top with thin slivers of foam tape. I made the pink A2 sized cardbase from the pink cardstock in the cardstock kit.
I hope you like the way my cards turned out!
