3 holiday cards & day 18 of my 2015 December Daily

Hey guys!  How is your December going so far?  I have been busy busy busy!  I am homeroom mom for both my girls’ classes, I’ve been baking for friends and teachers to share handmade kindness, I have been card making for crafty friends, my girls danced in their dance studio’s the Nutcracker, we went to see the Nutcracker ballet, I’m trying to document it all in a December Daily album… and the list goes on and on!  So much to do…so little time!

However, I’ve got 3 cards for you today, as well as a page in my December Daily album. (Supplies & links will be at the bottom of this post)

I have been loving Elena R’s digital stamps.  She is @MOM2SOFIA on instagram, and her etsy shop is JustMEdigitalstamps.  I purchased her Christmas elves digital stamp, and Nutcracker sweet digital stamp.  Then the other day, I saw that she kindly had a free baby Jesus digital stamp offered on her blog, so of course I had to check it out!  (This post is not sponsored, I just love her digital stamps.)

I love digital stamps because they are so affordable, you can customize the size, and you can use them as many times as you want!  I printed mine on Neenah white card stock with my home printer, and I was able to color with copic markers with no bleeding.  My girls used water based crayola markers, and there was no bleeding with those markers as well.

Here are the 3 cards I made:  You can make your cards as detailed as you want or clean and simple…either way, it just works!

For the Nutcracker card, I colored the image with copic marker, stamped a Hero Arts sentiment, and die cut it with a stitched rectangle die.  I backed it with patterned paper (an older Dear Lizzy paper), added a twine bow, some sequins, and adhered it to navy blue card stock.

For the Christmas elves & baby Jesus cards, I colored the images with copic markers, adhered them to my card base, and topped it off with clear glitter marker and sequins.

Here is my December Daily day 18.  (I am so behind on December Daily…I have days 1-3 and 18 done, lol!)

For this day, I printed out several smaller versions of the baby Jesus image.  I had my daughters each color one, and I colored one as well.  We talked about the REASON for the season, and I love how I can see their coloring skills and how they write their name.  For the 4th sleeve, there are actually 2 layers.  I made the 18 card using a Tim Holtz number stamp set and gold embossing powder.  The layer on top is a piece of vellum that I printed the quote on.  I love “A Charlie Brown Christmas!”  I die cut all these cards using a Project Life 3×4 rounded corners die.  (I’m using a red 2015 6×8 Ali Edwards December Daily album.  It is sold out)
